Several years have passed since the idea for «the artinspector» was born on the museum levels of the Wallraff-Richartz-Museum in Cologne: to create a platform that brings art historical contents closer to many people, independent of any institutions. We tell you the exciting stories behind the works! Only trained scientists work on the texts - but don't worry - reading and listening to our content should above all be fun! In addition, we take care to present not only the usual famous works of art, but also artists, many of whom have never heard of. These include in particular those from Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and South America.
Give us feedback if you feel like it and we will make an effort to make this site even better. We started in german and are only beginning to launch this site in english, so be patient. But for now – just have fun.
